Nominations: must be registered at the show office before 5pm Tuesday 30th October (no late nominations accepted).

Delivering Exhibits:

Photographs must be delivered to Soccer Rooms by NOON on Wednesday 31st October, with exhibit ticket attached (no late deliveries accepted)

Collection:

All photographs must be collected between 4.30 & 5pm Saturday 3rd November. Exhibits can only be collected by showing ‘Receipt of Entry’

SPECIAL AWARDS:

• A trophy donated by the Busselton Camera Club for the best exhibit in the 7 years & under section.

• A Ngilgi Cave family pass will be awarded for the best exhibit in the 8 to 13 year section donated by Geographe Bay Tourism Association.

• A cash prize has been donated by New Sensation Merchandising for the best exhibit in the 14 to 17 year section.

• A cash prize has been donated by New Sensation Merchandising for the ‘best effort’ in each age group.

SPECIAL REGULATIONS:

• Exhibitors to attach Velcro hooks on to the back of all prints to assist in displaying.

• A limit of 3 photographs per class, per person.

• In all classes the photographs must have been taken by the child and not previously won a prize at the Busselton Show.

• All prints must be mounted on mounting boards or black card. Use double sided tape NOT glue. Mounts available Ph 0417 973 022 or use ½ a sheet of black 200gsm card per image.

• The exhibitors name and address must NOT appear on the front of the mount. The thickness of print mount should be restricted to 5mm for ease of fixing to display boards. Entries must not be framed with or without glass.

• Size of mounts should not exceed those specified otherwise entries will not be accepted.

• Please affix your image firmly to your mount with double sided tape NOT glue.

HINTS:

• Read the special regulations and keep to the photograph and mount sizes.

• Keep your photographs simple. • Outdoor photographs of people and animals are best taken on an overcast day.

• The best time to take photographs is before 10.00am or after 4.00pm.

• Move in close to your subject.

• When taking seascapes, check that the horizon is level.

14 TO 17 YEARS INCLUSIVE

172 Jumping – An image of something or someone jumping eg Off the jetty, BMX, Horse

173 Landscape/ Seascape – with foreground or sky interest.

176 Open – any subject excluding those in class 168 – 171.
